Board Members

Jim Aparicio – President

I began my fire service career in 1994 as a cadet in Ventura County. I then moved throughout northern California as a Firefighter and Engineer with CDF (CalFire). In September of 2001, I proudly joined the San Jose Fire Dept., the same week as the 9/11 attacks. Since that event I was driven to support the profession and community with a fulfilling organization that could provide more than just an emergency response. While assigned to our training cadre in 2004, I worked alongside the Original President of the Burn Foundation, Mitch Wisinski. Mitch was the selfless leader that showed me how to give back to those who need it. As a first responder, we are there to help within minutes of a catastrophic event. Our foundation provides the same response for our community and fellow firefighters after an injury is sustained. It’s an honor to be the president of this selfless organization. I am grateful for my staff’s tireless work. It’s a true honor to be joined by our community of firefighters, nurses, survivors, and our precious supporters. Thank you for the time and thank you to my family that supports me in this position.
